Smashing records on and off the field is what Cristiano Ronaldo does. The Portuguese superstar recently crossed 900 career goals and now has gone on to become first celebrity to cross 1 Billion followers on social media. Ronaldo recent stole the headlines after opening his YouTube account. The Al-Nassr superstar has gone on to amass 600 million followers on Instagram, 100 million on X (erstwhile X) and 170 million Facebook and 60 million subscribers on YouTube, summing up to 1 billion followers on social media.

The Portugal skipper took to social media to express his happiness on social media. CR7 has achieved yet another feather on his cap with the new landmark that he has received away from the field. He also is the first celebrity and sportsperson to achieve this rare record.

“We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond. From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together. You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve,” Ronaldo wrote on social media.

“Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll keep pushing, winning, and making history together,” Ronaldo concluded.

Last week, Cristiano Ronaldo went on to score for his country which helped him score 900 career goals. These include goals scored for his country as well as for his clubs.
