Rashford was seen in discomfort in the last minutes of the game against Everton. The Striker worked hard in the game, but failed to score any goal. Moreover, he left the pitch, due to a reported groin injury in the 81st minute of the game.

The 25-year-old didn’t score any goal in the game but assisted Anthony Martial to make the scoreline 2-0 against Everton. The seriousness of the injury is yet to be known, but he might miss the Europa League game against Sevilla mid-week.

As expected, Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag wasn’t pleased with the injury. In the post-match press conference, Ten Hag said, “We have to wait, it doesn’t look well. Once again, it is due to the schedule… we’ve to protect our players.” Ten Hag wasn’t also happy with the tight schedule and exclaimed that players need more time to recover. He said, “I don’t know. It is like this when you have to play so many games in short notice, especially when the schedule is this tight. Players can’t recover and you run the risk that players can get injured. You have to be aware of that.”

This is Rashford’s second injury within a month, and it seems like the player is suffering from fatigue. He missed the international games for England in March and then missed a few games for Manchester United.

Martial’s comeback in the squad will give some hope to United fans, but the team will need Rashford’s goal in order to finish the season on a good note. United are still in contention for 2 trophies; FA Cup and Europa League.
