England Football: A married Premier League and England star has silenced his secret lover by making her sign a controversial Non-Disclosure Agreement with £20,000 payment. The footballer has betrayed his unaware wife, as he had a series of hotel room visits with a woman before and after his wedding. The woman is a single mother, and the Three Lion star started his affair with her in 2019. The adulterer is said to have ‘intimidated’ the single mum into signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and accepting £20,000 as bribery.
Teresa Parker, communications chief at Women’s Aid, told the Sun, ‘It is horrendous for a woman to be faced with intimidating behaviour from a football player, whereby she feels forced to sign an NDA and delete photos and messages.’
Parkers added she runs a campaign name Football United Domestic Violence to promote healthy relationships and raise concern about footballer’s wrongdoing against women, ‘We need to stand up against controlling behaviour in relationships together. It is unacceptable.’ she added.
Moreover, when the woman refused to cooperate, the Premier League star forcefully threatened her saying ‘I know where you live’. He also pressured her to delete photos and messages proving his affair.
In recent times, there have many reports from the England of wrongdoings of football players against women, one such being the high-profile news of Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood. The England International faced charges for his assault, and coercive behaviour last year, however, the charges later got dropped.
