Gareth Southgate's England is now dealing with an injury crisis as five key players will miss this international break due to injury.

Tottenham recently confirmed that James Maddison will miss out this international break due to injury. The 26-year-old suffered the blow against Chelsea. His injury is pretty serious and coach Ange Postecoglou has confirmed he will be out for a longer time.

Ange Postecoglou said: “Madders is a lot worse than we thought. He came off with an ankle injury and the next day [he] wasn’t great so we sent him for a scan. It’s not great for him and it’s probably [out] into the new year.”

Gareth Soutgate is alrady dealing with four injuries in England squad. Maddison is the fifth player who will miss out regular games due to injury. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka was forced off injured against Sevilla this week. The 22-year-old appeared to roll his ankle and Arteta is not considering him for the Burnley game.

English striker Callum Wilson is likely to miss out as the Newcastle star is lacking in match fitness. The 31-year-old will miss his club’s weekend game against Bournemouth. The next big name in injury concern is Jude Bellingham who had a shoulder injury during Real Madrid’s win in the Champions League over Braga.

Brighton star Lewis Dunk is also sidelined after facing injury during the Europa League fixture against Ajax. The 31-year-old defender was taken off at half-time with a groin problem.
