Dortmund Transfer: Along with losing Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund are losing several other players. Some of them are their key players and Dortmund will need their quick replacements. The German Club have set their eyes on the Chelsea and England midfielder Conor Gallagher as Bellingham’s replacement. Additionally, they have targeted Mexico and Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez. He will be joining as the replacement of Mahmoud Dahoud who has also left this transfer window and joined Brighton on a 4-year deal as a free agent.

Jude Bellingham has joined Real Madrid on a huge transfer fee of €103 million plus add ons. They are seeking to bring in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher as his replacement. The Blues want at least €50 million for the England midfielder. Mahmoud Dahoud has also decided to leave Dortmund as a free agent and has joined Brighton. As his replacement, they want to bring in Edson Alvarez on a €30 million fee. However, Ajax are asking for at least €40 million for the Mexican midfielder.
Bellingham left for Madrid as the transfer window opened on a humongous deal of €103 million plus add ons. If the add ons are triggered, the fee could end up being €134 million. The huge amount the player has roped in for Dortmund will help them bring in several players in return. However, he is not the only one they have to worry about. Along with the extremely talented youngster, they have lost some of their key players Mahmoud Dahoud, Mats Hummels, and Raphael Guerreiro.
Some other players who are also set to leave Dortmund are Thomas Meunier, Ansgar Knauff, and Anthony Modeste. Last season, Chelsea also showed a loss of almost €141 million during the COVID period. They have also blamed their former owner Roman Abramovich for their loss. In any way, they will have to recover from his loss. For that, they have started a flash sale this transfer window. They are already on the verge of selling four players to four big Saudi clubs. Three more players are set to move to other European clubs. Now, Conor Gallagher could move to Dortmund if they agree to pay €50 million which is Chelsea’s asking price.
Negotiating and bringing that price down will be difficult for Dortmund considering everyone knows how much they earned in Bellingham’s deal. Additionally, Dortmund offered to pay €30 million for Dahoud’s replacement target Edson Alvarez from Ajax. However, Ajax are asking for €40 million for the talented midfielder. Dortmund will face the same problem negotiating with Ajax. However, they will still have to negotiate and come up with a solution as they will have to bring in more players other than these two midfielders.
