The Kolkata Derby is upon us. Ahead of big encounter Mohun Bagan head coach Antonio Lopez Habas claimed that the match is vastly different for both the clubs. While the Mariners are fighting for the ISL shield on the other hand, East Bengal is fighting to make it to the top 6.
Mohun Bagan isn’t much worried about the derby. The Spaniard is treating the game like any other match per se. He is ready for the big like any other match. Since the match is slated to start from 8:30 PM, an hour late compared to the usual time, Habas expects the fans to continue supporting their beloved club.
“The focus will be on the match. The derby is absolutely different from other matches. Mohun Bagan is fighting for the shield while East Bengal is fighting for top 6,” Habas said in the pre match Press Conference.
A win in this match will propel Mohun Bagan to the top of the ISL points table. The Mariners are currently placed third on the list with 33 points from 16 games. On the other hand, star forward Dimitri Petratos is ready for the upcoming battle. He scored late in the previous game to salvage a point for the Mariners.
“I enjoy my football. I try my best to deliver what the coach and the team needs. The derby is never easy and we cannot take any team lightly. Out focus is do things right and do my best to win the game,” said Dimitri Petratos.
