David De Gea sends cryptic message to answer rumours about return to Man United

David De Gea is a free agent who could still decide to join any club he wants.

David De Gea was given the boot at the end of last season. Since he left Manchester United, he has remained as a free agent and has not joined any other club since then. There have been several rumours in the last few weeks that De Gea could move back to Man United. This started when the former Spain goalkeeper came back to the city and met with a few old friends. However, De Gea has answered all rumours with a cryptic message on his social media account.

David De Gea left Manchester United when his contract expired during the summer of this year. The goalkeeper had been with the club for 12 years and had no intention of leaving. As per rumours he was given a new deal with less pay, but De Gea agreed to sign the contract. However, Man United turned their backs on the deal later. This created issues and he had to be let go. De Gea walked out of the club as a free agent this transfer window.

De Gea has not joined any other club so far into the season. He has been linked with several European clubs including the German giants Bayern Munich, and some clubs from the Saudi Pro League. However, De Gea has not confirmed about joining any club as of yet. In the meantime, he came to Manchester. In the last few weeks, he met up with many of his former teammates. Since the meet ups, there have been numerous rumours of De Gea coming back to Manchester United.

The rumours have been going on for weeks. However, it seems that the goalkeeper has finally replied to the rumours. Recently, De Gea posted a thinking emoji on his social media account. This has put fans into a frenzy speculating if he really is coming back to the club. Especially considering his replacement Andre Onana has not been able to impress so far. There have been a few times when Onana’s mistakes cost the Red Devils gravely. Hence, De Gea could be welcomed back with open arms if he decides to join.
