Tributes for Ronaldo & Rodriguez’s SON: The Portugal international, 37, and Rodriguez, 28, were expecting twins. Their baby girl survived but their baby boy could not make it.
Georgina said her baby girl “gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness”. “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you,” they wrote.
Ronaldo, 37, announced the news on Monday evening, telling fans it is the “greatest pain” he can feel.
Marcus Rashford and David de Gea have led the tributes, while Ronaldo is receiving messages of support from the wider sporting community.
United star Rashford wrote on Twitter: “Thoughts are with you and Georgina brother ♥️ I’m so sorry.”

Jamaican world-record sprinter Usain Bolt, who is a United fan, replied to Ronaldo’s Instagram post with three praying emojis, while Piers Morgan said: ‘Heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences to you and all your family.’
Gary Lineker tweeted: ‘Terribly sad news. Sincere condolences to you and your family.’
United also released a short statement saying: “Your pain is our pain,
Cristiano 💔. “Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time.”
Ronaldo’s mother Dolores Aveiro replied to the Instagram with a sad-face emoji, while Diogo Dalot replied with a love heart.’
Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake said: “So sorry my friend.”
Noisy neighbours Man City replied: “Everyone at Manchester City sends our deepest condolences to you and Georgina.”
Real Madrid put on their website: “Real Madrid, its president and board of directors are deeply saddened by the passing of one of the children that our dear Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, were expecting.
“Real Madrid shares in the family’s pain and wishes to send them all of our warmth.”
Another former club, Sporting, wrote: “A lot of strength @cristiano 🙏 The Sportinguista family is with you 💚.”
Ronaldo has a son Cristiano Jr, who was born in 2010 and twins Eva and Mateo who were born in 2017. He also has a daughter with Rodriguez – Alana Martina, who was born in 2017.
