It was anticipated that Ronaldo would have an easier time adjusting to life in Saudi Arabia given his track record of scoring more than one goal per game when playing for Real Madrid. But, clearly, it hasn’t been the easiest transition for the Portuguese as he struggles to cope with life in the Middle East.

Ronaldo’s time in Saudi Arabia

The 38-year-old has only scored once in his previous three matches, which indicates that lately, he has been getting into more fights with opponents than goals. So the former Manchester United star’s team’s game on Monday against relegation-threatened Al Khaleej was a chance for him to rediscover his scoring touch.

Instead, the visitors actually took the lead through Fabio Martins after just four minutes, and Al Nassr’s team responded with an Alvaro Gonzalez goal after 17 minutes to level the game.
