Chelsea transfer spree continues! Pochettino demands 200m more for 4 more signings

Chelsea: The Blues are not going to stop. They have been on a spending spree ever since Todd Boehly overtook proceedings at the Stamford Bridge. Even though they have spent so much money already, there seems to be no stopping them. Under Todd Boehly’s regime, they have already spent £732.65m but it seems like there is still some more left in the bank. According to rumors and reports, Mauricio Pochettino still is looking to rope in 4 new players and that will cost the Blues close to £200m more.

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, is looking to spend an additional £200 million on four acquisitions. Before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, Pochettino has notified Todd Boehly, the owner of the Blues, that he needs further reinforcements.

The West Londoners have already spent almost £171 million on Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez, and Lesley Ugochukwu.

Pochettino eyes 4 more signings

The Mail reports that Chelsea is now keeping an eye on Tyler Adams of Leeds, Michael Olise of Crystal Palace, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, and of course Moises Caicedo of Brighton, who is still a major target.

The first transaction to close in the upcoming days is anticipated to be Adams. After the Whites are relegated, the midfielder’s release clause is about £20 million.

After a relatively quiet transfer window at Selhurst Park, Palace are not eager to work with Pochettino’s team for Olise. However, the club and the France Under-21 international have reached a personal agreement. Manchester City is interested in the winger as well, and he will cost somewhere around £35 million. The Eagles are interested in signing left-back Lewis Hall on a loan, thus Chelsea may have an advantage in this situation.

Blues getting ready for 4th Caicedo bid

After having 3 bids rejected by Brighton & Hove Albion, they are all set to make their 4th bid for Moises Caicedo. Chelsea coach, Mauricio Pochettino is keen on adding the midfielder to his roster.

There will be a fourth attempt by the Blues to acquire Moises Caicedo, a midfielder estimated to cost £90 million. According to SunSport, Mauricio Pochettino of the Blues is determined to sign the Ecuadorian from Brighton. The Seagulls expect Caicedo, 21, to begin the season at the Amex and are asking for £100 million.

Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, has so far had bids of £60 million, £70 million, and £80 million rejected. Poch believes that Caicedo, who moved to Brighton from Independiente del Valle in 2021 for just £3.6 million, is the perfect midfield partner for £106 million Argentine World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez.
