Chelsea Manager: Chelsea’s Russian Roulette with its managers doesn’t seem like it will cede anytime soon. After sacking Thomas Tuchel at the start of the season, new owner Todd Boehly decided to back Graham Potter at the helm. A lot of money was also spent on transfers from the start of the season and also in the winter window. Now, Potter has been given the boot too and Todd will need to hire yet another manager. In between all of this, it has been reported that Chelsea is considering Frank Lampard as caretaker boss for the rest of the season. Follow Chelsea Football Club LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Frank Lampard made a shock return to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night as Chelsea battled against Liverpool in the Premier League. It seems as though this return could be until the end of the season. The Chelsea legend could even end up staying there as caretaker boss.

Chelsea Manager: HOMECOMING for FRANK LAMPARD?

After 48 hours of Graham Potter’s firing, former Blues manager Lampard was watching the goalless draw with Liverpool from the stands. Lampard might be selected by owner Todd Boehly to serve as manager through the completion of the current campaign.

In addition to becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer, Lampard spent 17 months as Chelsea’s manager before he too was given the boot. Frank was fired by Everton in January and has been out of work since then.
In control of the Blues on Tuesday night was Potter’s assistant Bruno Saltor, who acknowledged that he had never even chosen a team before.

The manager in charge of Chelsea at the moment spoke about the change at the helm. He also addressed the feeling amongst players as this happened the second time this season. Bruno said, ‘It’s been a really difficult 48 hours for everyone because it’s not the first time the players have been in this situation this season and they have suffered.’

He continued, ‘As a player you invest a lot in the manager. They had a great relationship with Graham and he has been really supportive with them after leaving. It was truly difficult for me to enjoy tonight. It’s been a really sad time but I’ve just been trying to focus on being the best version of myself to help the boys.’

Chelsea, who are now 11th in the Premier League standings will play Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals the following week. They are said to have spoken with both Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique.

Bruno was asked about their next week’s fixture to Wolves too. He said, ‘As it stands I just expect to go home to rest and focus on hour by hour, day by day. The owner know the staff are going to be as professional as we can. We try to represent this club the best we can. We know the standards here and what is demanded.’
