The approach has been problematic for Canelo, as he recently garnered backlash for dissing Argentine football star Lionel Messi. However, Alvarez apologized for the behavior lately. The undisputed super middleweight champion has now earned people’s respect again for trying to provide financial aid to a needy medical victim.

A social media user posted a video of their child and wrote, “We Present Dante, a premature baby who urgently needed retinopathy surgery and the doctor @retinamexico supported him again to operate without charging her fees, however, hospital costs and supplies must be paid.”

Although Canelo Alvarez receives several tweets from his fans, he couldn’t ignore this one. In response, Alvarez wrote, “How do we do to help? Just send a number please.” Here’s a look at Canelo Alvarez’s tweets about the baby.

Having defended his undisputed 168 lbs belts against Gennadiy Golovkin, Canelo is yet to receive his next fight officially. Meanwhile, Matchroom Promotions kingpin Eddie Hearn has already chalked up plans for the star boxer.

Per previous plans, Canelo Alvarez should now rematch Dmitry Bivol. After losing to Bivol, Canelo vowed to aim at a rematch only if he beats Golovkin and Bivol got past Zurdo Ramirez. Both men have done their part and seem locked in on a collision course again. Nevertheless, Canelo vs Bivol 2 may not happen immediately.

According to Eddie Hearn, Canelo can face Jon Ryder next in May 2023. The fight can take place in USA, UK, or Mexico. On the other side, Dmitry Bivol can clash against Joshua Buatsi or Callum Smith. Upon seeing how the fights turn out, a rematch between Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol can possibly happen in September 2023 at 168 lbs (super middleweight category). Hence, Canelo seems to be preparing for a busy year ahead.
