As per the Brazilian health officials, four EPL players may be deported for flouting the host nation’s COVID-19 norms. The authorities had tried to negotiate with Argentina officials earlier today but they had refused. They had apparently locked themselves in the dressing room before coming onto the pitch.

Messi said that they had been in the city for three days and nothing happened, then why now.
“It’s an embarrassment. We’ve been here for three days, why are you doing this just now?! We are not playing,” he said.

Brazil vs Argentina Postponed – Lionel Messi very upset: Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni was also equally surprised at what was transpiring in front of him. He said: “Why didn’t you visit us at the hotel, we’ve been in Brazil for three days!”
“It makes me very sad. I’m not looking for any culprits. Whether or not something happened, it was not the time to make that intervention.
“It should have been a party for everyone, to enjoy the best players in the world. I would like the people of Argentina to understand that as a coach I have to defend my players. “At no time were we notified that they could not play the match. We wanted to play the game, the players from Brazil too.”
Following the episode, reports suggest that the Argentina team has left the city.
Brazil vs Argentina New Dates – Likely New Dates for the match: As per reports, the four players from Argentina were ordered to quarantine by the health agency ahead of the clash. The above players walked out to play despite the mandatory 10 days hotel quarantine for travellers from UK, South Africa and India forbidden to enter Brazil unless they are Brazilian citizens or permanent residents.
