Aymeric Laporte thanks Cristiano Ronaldo in a unique way following Al Nassr’s win

In the Saudi Pro League, Al-Nassr defeated Al-Khaleej 2-0 thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal and assist to Aymeric Laporte. While Aymeric Laporte scored a stunning goal, the teenage defender turned to Instagram to express his appreciation to Cristiano Ronaldo.

After scoring his first goal for the Saudi team since moving to the Middle East, the French defender praised the Portuguese superstar on Instagram. After heading down an Alex Telles free-kick into the box, the former Manchester City defender earned a tap-in in front of goal.

Ronaldo set a new record when he started the scoring for Al Nassr. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 400th goal since turning 30 in a 2-0 Saudi Pro League win for Al Nassr. On Saturday, the Portuguese Ballon d’Or winner scored a magnificent opening goal in his team’s triumph over Al Khaleej.

In the 26th minute, the 38-year-old scooped up the ball on the edge of the penalty area and turned his marker. He was left on the ground when the Portugal forward feigned shooting. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player took a touch to position himself up before blasting into the roof of the net from just outside the penalty area.

Ronaldo’s goal was his 12th league goal of the season, putting him ahead of Aleksandar Mitrovic, who joined Al Hilal from Fulham in August. The performance allowed Al-Nassr climb to second place in the league, four points behind Al-Hilal. Laporte and Ronaldo will be back in action in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday, November 7 when Al-Nassr takes on Al-Duhail.
