ANDRE ONANA pursuit heats up as CHELSEA to offer ROMELU LUKAKU & one more player

Chelsea want to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan. They are looking to offer Romelu Lukaku and another player in exchange of the goalie

Andre Onana: Hide your players, as Chelsea is looking to sign them all. Even though the Blues have spent close to 600 million over the course of the last year, they are not done in the transfer market. They are still looking to strengthen their team as they look to build a competitive team for Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine manager is looking to sign a reliable goalkeeper as that is an area of weakness in the Chelsea team. He has his eye set on Inter Milan’s GK, Andre Onana. They are looking to add Romelu Lukaku and one more Chelsea player to the deal.

In their simultaneous efforts to bring in a new goalkeeper and end their impasse with uneasy striker Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea has gained momentum. The Italian team’s Champions League loss to Manchester City on Saturday night has prompted the Blues to seek Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Guglielmo Vicario, a Serie A opponent from Empoli, has already been secured by Inter as a replacement. Onana, who held Man City’s powerful striker Erling Haaland at bay in the Champions League final in Istanbul, is still the subject of a £55 million demand.

Andre Onana’s words

Although, while talking about his future, Onana said, ‘I’m so, so happy at Inter. At this professional level you never know what happens. I’m available for Inter, they decide and I will accept what they want. I’m happy at Inter.’

Onana was only overtaken by midfielder Rodri’s unexpected shot, which gave the Premier League champions the victory. Mauricio Pochettino, the incoming manager of Chelsea, is a tremendous fan of Onana.

The Argentine will be delighted to hear that Inter will now make a strong effort to recruit Vicario as he gets ready to assume official leadership on July 1. In what would have been his final game for Inter before the end of his loan from Chelsea, Lukaku partnered with Onana against City.

The Belgian is scheduled to meet with Pochettino again, although he would rather stay in Italy. There have been discussions regarding a potential trade deal that would also include the undesired Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly. But if Inter can negotiate a deal to replace Onana with Vicario as expected, a breakthrough might finally occur.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Édouard Mendy to get the boot?

As part of a significant reorganization of the team, Chelsea’s two goalkeepers, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, face uncertain futures at the club. Mendy and the Chelsea ownership cannot come to terms on a new deal. Despite the world record £72 million for a GK, Kepa still has not totally persuaded a few of the coaches that he is competent enough.

Onana, 27, has also given up playing for the international team and if signed, would be entirely committed to Chelsea. The Blues, who placed 12th in the Premier League last season—their lowest placing since 1996—has started a player purge to cut down on outgoings and give the team a facelift.

Joao Felix, a forward, was returned to Atletico Madrid at the end of his loan, N’Golo Kante is preparing to sign with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Mason Mount, a midfielder, is desired by Manchester United, and Kai Havertz is a target for Real Madrid.
