Jackson Irvine opened the scoring in the second half before substitute Jordan Bos doubled the lead for the Socceroos. The Blue Tigers who mainly banked on counter attacks, failed to convert the few golden chances that they got.

But with Chhetri leading the side, India will aim to give a tough competition.
The ideal case scenario for India will be etch out a draw against their 25th FIFA ranked opponent. For Australia, skipper Matthew Ryan is back with the team after recovering from his injury.
