Indian fans are among the highest number of applicants for tickets to this World Cup. India is 7th among the top countries who applied for a ticket Qatar World Cup after the first phase of ticketing. This is the first time FIFA has hosted This event in Asia since 2002, hence there is a boom in the number of Asian population visiting the World Cup.

Saad Al – Suwaidi, The manager of Hayya Pass service, revealed the number of people expected so far to show up for the Qatar World Cup. The numbers are staggering for a tiny nation like Qatar. To put the numbers in perspective, the Brazil World Cup in 2014 had 1 million foreign fans who had visited the country. The Brazil World Cup went down as the second most attended World Cup in the history of FIFA.

The FIFA World Cups have been accumulating a humongous number of more than three million attendees for three years in a row. That status is expected to be maintained with this huge number of card applications this season. On top of that, a significant number of local fans are also expected to spectate the matches.
All travelers, Football fans or not, will need to show the compulsory pass for the football World Cup from 1st November. This pass will also act as a visa, a match ticket, a transportation ticket as well as entry to certain Fanzones.
