Yesterday, a video surfaced from the super-secret project Aurora that revealed quite a good glimpse of Warzone Mobile gameplay that is in the works. Today, another one has come up which features an extended look at it, containing scenes from Gulag fight and landing animation. Activision has been proactive in the social media spaces in the last few days, banning all content and leaks related to project Aurora, but you can have a look at the extended gameplay in the video below. From the looks of it, it’s safe to say that Warzone Mobile will not differ much in terms of gameplay compared to its PC predecessor. Although the visuals remain a quite a tone down from the original one, the movement and gunplay mechanics remains mostly the same. However, it will be interesting to see if Activision actually introduces something new dedicated to the mobile platform and surprise us.
EA and Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends: Mobile which was released last month, has introduced mobile-exclusive legends and plans to bring more on board in the coming seasons. There might also be some mobile-exclusive maps in the work and Warzone Mobile is likely to follow that path as well. There are already talks that Warzone Mobile will have a TPP mode as well.

According to further leaks, the game will very likely have a TPP (Third Person Perspective) mode as well, which has been overly successful in the past among the mobile community. This theory is supported by looking at the fact that Digital Legends is also a part of the development team of Project Aurora. The same development team that is widely revered for developing quality TPP experience.

However, there’s no confirmation as to whether TPP is definitely coming to the game or is it going to be released at the same time as the global launch. Nevertheless, whatever happens, there’s a lot of risk riding with this project for Activision as Warzone is the best shot for the company to grab the mobile community’s attention. Struggling with a stagnant phase of its first mobile release, COD: Mobile (2019), no wonder why Activision is doing everything it takes to deliver a game-changing mobile BR experience.
