February 2022 will be an exciting month for all the Pokemon GO trainers. There will be many events happening that trainers can participate in and get rewards. Check out the details of all these events if you want to prepare properly for them.
Pokemon GO: Season of Heritage Monthly Bonus
The Season of Heritage is still ongoing and Pokemon GO trainers can receive various bonuses from it. During this event, the following bonuses will be active:
- Double XP from hatching Pokemon Eggs
- Increased Candy XL from hatching Eggs
Pokemon GO: February Research Breakthrough Encounters
The February research breakthrough encounters will be active from 1:00 PM on 1st February to 1:00 PM on 1st March (GMT -8). During this, Pokemon GO trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Espurr, if they are lucky, for the first time in the game.
Pokemon GO: February Community Day
The Pokemon GO February Community Day will feature Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokemon. Trainers will be able to catch this Pokemon on 12th February during Community Day when it will appear more frequently in the wild.
Pokemon GO: Raid Pokemons in February
February will be a busy month for Trainers as there will be a lot of Raid Pokemons making an appearance. All of the Raid Pokemons will also have their Shiny variants available. Thus, it will be the perfect opportunity for trainers to catch and add some unique Pokemons to their collections.
- 5-Star Raids:
- Regirock (from 1st till 9th February), Registeel (from 9th till 16th February), Normal Forme Deoxys (from 16th till 19th February), Attack Forme Deoxys (from 19th till 22nd February), Defense Forme Deoxys (from 22nd till 25th February), and Speed Forme Deoxys (from 25th February till 1st March) will be available as 5-Star Raid Pokemons.
- Pokemon Go Tour: Johto will be ongoing on 26th February. During this time, 5-Star Raid Pokemons like Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh will also be available. Trainers might also be able to encounter a Shiny one if they are lucky. These Pokemons will be only available between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM on that day.
- Regirock and Registeel will know the attract Earthquake and Zap Cannon respectively.
- Mega Raids: The following Pokemons will be appearing in Mega Raids. The Raid rotations will start at 10:00 AM local time on the specified dates.
- Mega Houndoom and its Shiny version will be available from 1st till 15th February.
- Mega Ampharos and its Shiny version will be available from 15th February till 1st March.
- Raid Hours: Every Wednesday in February will feature a Raid Hour event that will occur from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time.
- Regirock and its Shiny variant on 2nd February.
- Registeel and its Shiny variant on 9th February.
- Normal Form Deoxys and its Shiny variant on 16th February.
- Defense Form Deoxys and its Shiny variant on 23rd February.
Pokemon GO Tour: Johto in February
Pokemon GO Tour: Johto will be held on 26th February from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. local time. Trainers can purchase a ticket for exclusive rewards and experience. They will be able to choose between the Gold Version and Silver Version event experiences, each having its own version-exclusive Pokemon. There will also be event-exclusive Special Research to receive an encounter with Celebi that knows a special attack.
Trainers who purchase a ticket prior to 10th February will also receive access to the Season of Heritage’s Timed Research for February. Trainers who have purchased a GO Tour Ticket prior to 10th February must log in to Pokemon GO between 1st and 10th February to receive the Timed Research rewards.
Pokemon GO: Spotlight Hours in February
There will be four Pokemon Spotlight Hours held every Tuesday in February from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. They will feature different Pokemons and bonuses for the trainers.
- 1st February: It will feature Litleo and trainers will receive double XP for evolving Pokemons.
- 8th February: It will feature Spritzee and trainers will receive double Catch Stardust.
- 15th February: It will feature Koffing and trainers will receive double Catch XP.
- 22nd February: It will feature Voltorb and trainers will receive double Catch Candy.

Pokemon GO: Additional events in February
The following special events will also be available to the Trainers in the month of February.
- Lunar New Year: 1st till 7th February.
- Valentine’s Day: From 10th till 14th February, Pokemon GO Trainers can celebrate Valentine’s Day with in-game events and activities. An Evolutionary line of Fairy-type Pokemon will also make its Pokemon GO debut.
- Pokemon GO Tour Johto Leadup Event: From 18th till 25th February, trainers can get ready for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto with a Pokeball-focused event.
Pokemon GO: Weekly Pokecoin Bundles
Every Monday in February, a one-time-purchase bundle containing a Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available in the Pokemon GO shop for 1 Pokecoin.
