Pokemon Go Catch Mastery Event: Give your skills a stretch during the Catch Mastery event, featuring Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan!
Catch Mastery – Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time
Wild encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
- Hitmonlee
- Hitmonchan
Event Bonuses
- You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Hitmonlee, Shiny Hitmonchan, and Shiny Hitmontop.
- 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, Excellent Throws, and Curveball Throws.
Field Research task encounters
- Tasks focused on your Poké Ball throwing accuracy will be available!
- The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.
- Hitmontop
If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
Eggs
- The following Pokémon will have a chance to hatch from 7 km Eggs collected during this event.

Timed Research
