Controversial model, streamer and singer Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres has gone through probably the steepest curve this year, as she faces one after another trouble. The once highly famous Twitch streamer was known for her hot tub and ASMR meta streams. She rose to popularity gaining over 2 million subscribers in less than a year. But things got pretty downhill for her after she faced a total of 5 bans from the platform and a final suspension on 28 June 2021. She has also mentioned instances of her being bullied on Twitch to the point where she couldn’t tolerate it anymore, which led her to create content on OF (OnlyFans). She also has a YouTube channel where she used to put up her songs and has a single stream.
Currently, she is in dire straits for the hate she is receiving in TikTok. At present, she has over 400,000 active followers on her TikTok profile. But it might meet the same fate as her TikTok account is receiving mass reports
She took to Twitter to express her trouble and tagged TikTok support accounts to help her with these constant trolls reporting her. She posted, “Can you actually do something about mass reporting for creators? Or you just going to allow people to harass female creators?”. “I’ve appealed, but mod teams just assume what the trolls say is true on Live, they don’t even check”, she further added.
Seeing her plight, some of her fans suggested she make slightly different content, or maybe fresh content will help with these trolls. To this she replied, “I do. They don’t care. They just follow and hate me. Heck, I’m even shadowed on Twitter and I don’t even post… I’m legit being harassed into oblivion and I’m sick of being silent about it.”
According to several internet surveys, people are enjoying explicit content on various streaming platforms but they are also expressing a lot of hate towards the creators. As requested by a lot of creators, whether it be Twitch or TikTok, it would be great if the platforms set up structured guidelines to curb any offensive content as well as to offer necessary protection from online trolls and bullies. This may aid Indiefoxx and similar other influencers for creative freedom in their content.
