FIFAe Nations Series Play-Ins 2023 – Team India tops the table after Day 1: Indian eTigers had the best possible start to their FIFAe Nations Series 2023 (Play-Ins) campaign as they finished table toppers after Day 1 of Match Week 1. Saransh Jain and Charanjot Singh started all of their matches, picking up 14 points in 6 games with 4 victories and 2 draws. Team India will play their return fixtures tomorrow at the same time but these results will undoubtedly raise quite a few eyebrows. Indian eTigers played 6 matches today, as they remained unbeaten with 14 points after the conclusion of the opening day. Meanwhile, Singapore is breathing down the neck of India with 14 points. Indian eTigers are currently leading due to their superior goal difference. Following them are Malaysia and Indonesia, earning 10 and 7 points respectively.

FIFAe Nations Series Play-Ins Results

  • 1st Match: India comfortably defeated Korea Republic by 3-1
  • 2nd Match: India dominated Hong Kong picking up a 4-1 victory.
  • 3rd Match: Perhaps the game of the day featured India and Singapore as both teams played out a draw in a  goal thriller. The FT score read 4-4.
  • 4th Match 4: India had a single-goal lead against Indonesia but the latter equalized through a quick counter to make it even. The FT score read 1-1.
  • 5th Match: India led Japan by three goals in the first half. Japan clawed their way back into the game scoring two goals in five minutes. However, the Indian eTigers hold onto the lead to pick up all three points.  The FT score was 3-2.
  • 6th Match: India completed a perfect comeback over Malaysia with the score, giving a fitting end to the end. The FT score was 2-1.
