Pokemon Go Solstice Horizons event: The Solstice Horizons event will take place from June 16 to June 25, 2023. During the event, players can encounter the following Pokémon in the wild:
- Daytime: Ledyba, Murkrow, Solrock, Drifloon, Purrloin, Sewaddle, Cottonee, Petilil, Fomantis
- Nighttime: Oddish, Spinarak, Misdreavus, Lunatone, Stunky, Venipede, Foongus, Phantump, Fomantis
Some of these Pokémon, such as Hisuian Sneasel and Shaymin, can only be encountered during certain times of day. Players can also encounter Shiny versions of some of these Pokémon, such as Shiny Fomantis.
In addition to encountering new Pokémon, players can also participate in special research tasks to earn rewards. The special research tasks will lead players to encounter Cosmog, a Mythical Pokémon. Once players have completed the special research tasks, they will be able to encounter Shaymin, a Legendary Pokémon.
Pokemon Go Special Research is in the stars
Starry Skies, a new Special Research story starring Cosmog, will be available to Trainers level 5 and up at no cost—just log in between Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time to begin! Plus, for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you can play through Starry Skies a second time and encounter Cosmog again.
You can purchase a ticket for a second go at this Special Research story during the event and until Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Ticket holders will gain access to the Special Research story during the Solstice Horizons event. To receive the Special Research, you must open Pokémon GO at some point between Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. After you’ve received the Special Research, you can complete it at any time.
The Solstice Horizons event is a great opportunity for players to catch new Pokémon and complete special research tasks. Players who are looking to add new Pokémon to their collection or complete their Pokédex should definitely participate in the event.
