India achieves a massive feat as they jump 10 spots to rank 6th in the latest announcement of FIFAe Nations Ranking. India triumphed in the recently concluded FIFAe Nations Series Playoff and in virtue of that, they are now the top ranked country in Asia and Oceania Region. In FIFAe Nations Playoffs, Australia went on to reach the finals of the playoff through Winners Bracket. Meanwhile, India suffered an early blow against Indonesia going down 2-3 in ag score. However, they strongly came back winning 9-0 against New Zealand and 2-1 against Japan. In Day 2, India overcame Malaysia and Singapore with 3-1 and 3-2 agg scores respectively.

FIFAe Nations Ranking: India jumps 10 spots to rank 6th after winning Playoffs

India reached the finals through the Loser Bracket overcoming all opponents who stood against them. India dominated Australia both legs winning 4-2 on agg, taking it to reverse final. Team India started very brightly in the reverse final from where they left. They went on to secure 5-1 victory in the first leg.

In the second leg of the Reverse final, Australia started well but found trailing 2-1 against India. Eventually, India got their lead securing 3-2 result and winning the playoffs against Australia with an agg score of 8-3. After winning all these matches, India jumped up 10 spots to rank 6th and becoming no/1 country in Asia and Oceania region.
