After a gap of almost ten long months, Battlegrounds Mobile India aka BGMI finally returns to the virtual stores under certain terms and conditions. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology blocked the title in July 2022 under section 69A of the IT Act. After multiple discussions and efforts from all involved parties, The Government of India has approved KRAFTON to run BGMI operations in the country after it promised to abide by the rules of the land. On May 22, server users found Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) on the Google Play Store. Some users claimed the available version was 2.1, which was the same one like in July 2022. Following the massive buzz among the fans, KRAFTON clarified with a long statement. Here’s what it had to say.
KRAFTON Official Statement on BGMI Play Store Return
“Several users have been reaching out asking if they can download BGMI since they can see the “Download Now” option on the website. Please note, the game is not available to play as the servers have been shut. Currently, the closed test track for BGMI is updated. Those who opted for a public test for the game before its launch are expected to get a message via email which takes them to the Play Store for downloading the game.
However, the game will not be available to play as the servers are shut. We also understand that some other users who had not opted for the closed test are also getting this message. This is a technical error and we are working on resolving it. We will inform you once the game is available to PLAY. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Looking at the statements, we can clearly understand that a few players have received mails of early accessing the title. However, the server is offline and KRAFTON will inform once the game is available to explore and enjoy. So, these are all about the latest development regarding BGMI Return.
