Fortnite partners with Ferrari: Epic Games has collaborated with Ferrari to bring the first licensed car to Fortnite. Different kinds of vehicles were already introduced in the game a year ago, that included cars, pickup trucks and even sports cars, but none of them were licensed cars. This is the first time that Fortnite will offer players the opportunity to drive a full-fledged real-world car. Epic Games revealed that players can drive the Ferrari 296 GTB from July 22, 2021. It is not the first time that any battle royal shooter has featured a licensed car. Previously, PUBG: Mobile also collaborated with Tesla to bring Tesla Model Y into the game, which could drive players to designated locations as well as Tesla Semis, which are self-driving and used to carry battle supplies.
Epic Games also revealed that the Ferrari 296 GTB will play like any other car in the game, but the sound of the car that players will hear is recorded from the original Ferrari, thanks to Fortnite’s Unreal Engine. This week’s Epic Quests mainly revolve around this new Ferrari and will test the driving skills of the players. These quests include completing Ferrari Time Trials, driving a Ferrari through the Storm and the maximum speed the player can reach in a Ferrari.
Fortnite will also offer players a Ferrari Bundle that includes Maranello Racer Outfits, the Modena Icon and the Ferrari Turbo Bling. The Ferrari Bundle will be available from July 22, 2021 and players will be able to get it from the Item shop in Fortnite.
