The Twitch TV meta is receiving a lot of heat amidst DMCA claims that have begun targeting faulty Twitch streamers. Twitch’s Community Head Marcus ‘djWHEAT’ Graham criticized xQc’s management in a series of tweets, for letting him stream copyrighted content despite the repercussions he might have to face because of his actions. This is happening at a time when Pokimane received a 48-hour ban from Twitch for watching Avatar, while HasanAbi faced a DMCA strike for streaming MasterChef. Many streamers have withdrawn from the meta and deleted the VODs from their channels to safeguard their account and streaming career. Naturally, the community expects the leading face of this meta xQc to step back for the best interest of his career.
Twitch’s employee djWHEAT took this opportunity to lash out at xQc’s management team for allowing him to jeopardize his own career and called him “worthless” for not caring for his own interest. Graham took to Twitter to vent out his displeasure.

“Lots of people are getting on xQc for continuing to stream content he doesn’t own but maybe it’s time to start pointing out just how worthless his own management team must be to let it happen,” he tweeted. “Who is actually looking out for these creators’ careers? Even if his management was just wanting to make money off him, you would think they would see this as putting that at risk. So if they don’t care and they aren’t even greedy, what in the hell are they? What are they actually doing for him and other creators?”

DjWHEAT further pointed out that most managers would be stepping in if their client was putting their career at risk. “A real management team would be putting a stop to anything that could jeopardize their client’s career and ability to make money. Anything less and you are under bad management,” he continued.
Streamer xQc quickly responded to Marcus Graham’s tweets during his live broadcast and questioned why people were getting so angry over him watching anime.
“Where was all this energy when DisguisedToast was watching 150 episodes of Naruto while literally sleeping on stream?” he asked.
“I watched three hours of content and the internet loses its mind. Toast literally had a library of the most distributed anime in America for like 150 episodes and nobody blinks an eye. I watch five episodes, and the internet is having a f**king seizure!”
Well, given the current situation, the Twitch community is busy trying to defend the side it has favored from the beginning. As rightly pointed out by some, Twitch has to step in to address the issue and solve the root cause of the problem.
