Devs wanted to share the second Esports update within this Community Update, this one centered on the Call of Duty: Mobile Esports Settings and the World Championship format. Their goal is to make the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2022 the best it has ever been! We plan to update and upgrade every stage of the tournament. To keep the tournament fresh, we are making the following changes to the Esports Settings:
- Replacing Domination with Control as the new third game mode in the Esports Pool
- Rotating in Slums and Hacienda to the Esports Map Pool
- Updating the Restrictions list in accordance with feedback
- Applying a three-week cooldown restriction to all new content

Additionally, we are making the following changes to the formats of each Stage of the World Championship

Stages 1 and 2 will now provide more points to higher ranked players

Stages 3 and 4 will use a Best of Five format. Stage 5 will use a Best of Seven format and the Winner’s Bracket team will have a map advantage

Stages 4 and 5 will use a Swiss Group stage instead of Round Robin
We want to continue keeping Call of Duty: Mobile Esports fresh and fostering top-tier competition. We believe these changes to the Esports Settings and the format of the World Championship will further drive us in that direction.

Ranked Series 2: World Championship
Get ready to grind because Season 3: Radical Raid bring us a new Ranked Series – Ranked Series 2: World Championship. In addition to the rewards you will be earning by playing through Stage 1 and 2 of the World Championship 2022, you will be able to earn the Ranked Series 2 rewards for ranking up in Ranked mode. Some of the items you’ll be able to earn are the PPSh-41 – Feline Fire at Legendary rank for MP and Scarlett Rhodes – Gold Buillon for Grandmaster III rank in Battle Royale.
