Later, reports suggested that the government issued a ban order on Battlegrounds Mobile India under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000. Due to the removal of the game from various platforms, multiple scheduled LAN events of Battlegrounds Mobile India stand canceled. However, despite the BGMI ban in the country, the Indian streaming platform, Rooter, is hosting the online finals of the BGMI Rooter Invitational Series. The Rooter Invitational Series will be a pathway for teams to qualify for Rooter Pro Series LAN scheduled later in the year.
