In this conference, they revealed that Tencent signs a partnership with the Olympic Council of Asia.

Attended by Director General of Olympic Council of Asia, Mr. Husain A H Z AI-Musallam; President of Asian Electronic Sports Federation, Mr. Kenneth Fok; Senior Vice President of Tencent, Mr. Steven Ma; AESF Director-General, Mr. Sebastian Lau; AESF Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Steve Kim; and Vice President of Tencent Games and General Manager of Tencent E-sports, Mr. Mars Hou, the online meeting saw participants share insights and exchange views on topics such as “The Future Development of Sports and Esports in Asia” and “Promotion and the Development of Sports in Asia”.

Commenting on the prospect of jointly promoting the development of sports in Asia, Mr. Husain, Director General of OCA shared that the Olympic Council of Asia is delighted to build up strategic cooperation with Tencent. He expressed his hope that Tencent’s technology and innovation will help the Olympic Council of Asia and the Asian Electronic Sports Federation to bring more possibilities of the digital electronic sports industry to Asia.

The OCA and Tencent will carry out comprehensive collaboration in both traditional sports and esports whilst making joint efforts in cultural exchanges, technical talents cultivation, Asian sporting event support, and digital sports research, facilitating the development of Asian sports, encouraging the young generation to participate in sports, as well as promoting the sustainable development of Esports in Asia.
