It is the second time this month that Amazon Web Services have faced an outage. Today’s outage problem seems to be more serious as servers of many companies were facing problems from this outage. Gaming servers of major titles like League of Legends, Valorant, Apex Legends, Halo, Clash Royale, etc, along with servers of AWS, Twitch, Hulu, Playstation Network, Zoom, Snapchat, EA services, DoorDash, Crunchyroll, and other companies were down due to this Amazon Web Services outage.

The AWS team has confirmed that this outage occurred due to issues in their US-West-1 region in Northern California and US-West-2 in Oregon. According to the latest reports, AWS has resolved the issues in both the US-West-1 and US-West-2 regions. All the services have resumed functioning.

This is the second time in this month that the AWS outage has affected a large scale of companies. Earlier this month, an Amazon Web Services outage in the US-East-1 region in Northern Virginia caused the server from various companies to crash. The list ranged from Disney+ to Tinder and even Amazon’s own logistical network. That time, there was a failure in the internal network and it collapsed due to the unexpected behavior of the automated systems.

In both of these outages, Amazon Web Services’ homepage also got affected and it went offline. After these outages, the AWS team has said that they realize how much critical their services are for the proper and smooth functioning of the various applications, end-users, and their businesses. Although these outages caused problems to many of their customers, they have assured that they will learn from this event to improve their services and reliability even more in the future.
