Twitch, as a platform, gained popularity through the world of esports. However, creators have now started using the platform for other things such as political discussions as well. One of the most popular political commentators on Twitch, Hasanabi, shared his take on Twitter after the verdict was announced.

Hasanabi also pointed out the blatant hypocrisy in the fact that the Supreme Court said they could do nothing to enact gun control, but were quick to dismiss women’s rights to abortion. Other streamers like BrookeAB also seem to echo his thoughts in this regard.

Other streamers like Pokimane, Valkyrae, Asmongold, and many others shared their take on the situation, stating that not being able to have autonomy over their own bodies was a direct strike at the freedom of the people in the US.

The Roe v. Wade case was overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States earlier this week. The verdict now places power in the hands of the state to make abortions illegal for women in the United States. Naturally, people have taken to the streets to protest the verdict and protect women’s rights of autonomy over their own bodies.
