CWG 2022: Commonwealth Esports Championships: The first ever Commonwealth Esports Championships will take place in Birmingham from August 6-7. With the championships almost here, Indian esports fans are getting ready to cheer for Indian Contingent at the CEWC 2022. The inaugural edition of the multi-nation eSports tournaments will be held in Birmingham at the International Convention Centre. On 6 and 7 August 2022, over 100 esports athletes will take center stage in Birmingham, UK at the International Convention Centre, and compete at the Commonwealth Esports Championships for the very first time. These athletes representing their nations will go head-to-head in three esports titles – DOTA 2, eFootball series, and Rocket League. This event will run parallel with CWG 2022 but it will not be a medal event for the same.

Commonwealth Esports Championships: Indian Contingent
At the Commonwealth Esports Championships, India will be participating in Dota 2 and Rocket League with two excellent rosters. Both rosters have put up strong performances during the CWG 2022: Commonwealth Esports Championships South Asia Regional Qualifiers to book their slot in the event.
- Indian Dota 2 Team –Moin Ejaz, Ketan Goyal, Abhishek Yadav, Shubhnam Goli, and Vishal Vernekar.
- Indian Rocket League Team – Hargun Singh, Sandeep Sahani, and Rushil Reddy

CWG 2022: Commonwealth Esports Championships schedule for Indian Contingent
The Preliminary rounds for Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022 at CWG 2022 will take place from August 3-5 at Nottingham Trent University. The Semi-Finals and Finals of CWEC 2022 will take place on August 6 and 7 at International Convention Centre, Birmingham.
A total of seven countries have made it to the DOTA 2 championship and eight teams have made it to the Rocket League championship at CWEC 2022. For DOTA 2 Championship, the Indian team is placed in Group A along with England, Wales & Trinidad, and Tobago. For the Rocket League Championship, India is in Group B with Canada, England, and Wales.
