CSK Playing XI vs PBKS:

Openers

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis are the most consistent openers of IPL 2021. They feature in the top 5 list of Orange Cap and are the reasons behind CSK’s progress to playoffs. They are expected to repeat their dashing form in IPL 2021.

Middle Order

Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu. The duo has been a formidable part of CSK’s success in IPL 2021. While Moeen Ali has contributed with his all-around ability, Ambati Rayudu has been never short of runs.

The duo will be joined by Robin Uthappa who is expected to do well after missing out on scoring big in the last match against Delhi Capitals where he had managed just 19 runs. The reason why he is expected to play ahead of Suresh Raina because the latter managed a high score of unbeaten 17 runs in the UAE leg of IPL 2021.

MS Dhoni will also form a part of CSK’s middle-order and could play a part even though his time as a batsman seems to have faded.

No.7

Ravindra Jadeja has earned the tag of being one of the most consistent all-rounders of IPL 2021. He knows how to finish off an innings and contribute with his timely overs. Having said that, he needs to ace his game as a bowler.

Bowlers

Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur have been exceptional with the bat and ball. The duo strengthens the CSK batting order. Their ability to strike with the ball are unmatchable which makes the two of them crucial to the franchise.

Deepak Chahar needs to pick wickets which he has failed to do consistently throughout the IPL. Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood has been a terrific strike bowler.
