Zak Crawley makes bold predictions says “I Think We’ll Win By…”, ahead of the 2nd Ashes Test

Zak Crawley did not shy away from answering the tough questions, gave his honest assessment of the first Ashes Test, and predicted that England would win the second Ashes Test at Lord's by a huge margin.

English Opener Zak Crawley is extremely confident that England will bounce back strong and defeat Australia at Lord’s to level the series at 1-1. England tasted an agonizing defeat in the first Ashes Test as Australia won by a tight margin of two wickets at Edgbaston last week. The Australian side held their nerves as captain Pat Cummins (44) and veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon (16) stitched an unbeaten partnership of 55 runs and took their side across the line while chasing 281. Crawley, when asked about what will happen in the second Ashes Test, made a bold statement.

Speaking to Times Radio, the 25-year-old batter predicted that the second Ashes Test would be won by England by at least 150 runs.

“I think we’ll win [at Lord’s]. I think the pitch will suit us a bit more so I think we’ll win by, I don’t know, 150 runs?,” Crawley told Times Radio.

Speaking about their loss in the first test, the opener stated that the team’s morale has not been affected despite facing a defeat. He went on to say that they were able to showcase their attacking style of Test cricket and entertain the crowd.

“We’re not about results. We’re not about winning or losing, we’re about entertainment. That’s why we took [this loss] better than other losses perhaps, because it was great for the game,” Crawley said.

“Of course we’re there to win and it helps our brand and what we’re trying to do. If we win, we get more traction. But I don’t think we’ve lost anything this week other than a game of cricket,” he added.
