Team India young stars Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma flexed their muscles after a gym session on Tuesday,

The likes of Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma had a rigorous gym session on Tuesday (December 5). After having an excellent outing in the IND vs AUS T20s, the young stars are now gearing up for the upcoming IND vs SA fixtures. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh uploaded a story on his Instagram account where he alongside Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma are flexing their muscles while posing for the camera.

Rinku gets maiden ODI call-up

The trio of Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma will be a part of the upcoming IND vs SA T20s. Meanwhile, Rinku also received his maiden ODI call-up for the 50-over fixtures against South Africa. The left-arm pacer Arshdeep will also be a part of the ODI squad. However, Jitesh failed to get his name in that list as Sanju Samson was named as the wicket-keeper choice for the ODIs.

The Men in Blue will begin their tour of South Africa on 10 December 2023, which will continue till 7 January 2023. The two Tests will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. The IND vs SA 1st T20I will be South Africa’s first match after they lost the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 semifinal to Australia.

As mentioned above, the trio of Rinku, Arshdeep and Jitesh had a decent run in the IND vs AUS T20 series. Thanks to their efforts, team India went on to defeat the Aussies by a margin of 4-1. However, the India tour of South Africa will pose a different set of challenge for the young guns as they prepare to face high-quality pace bowling from the Proteas. It remains to be seen if these youngsters can emulate their performances in overseas conditions as well.
