Former India Cricket Team captain and ex BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was not at all happy with India’s performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. He claimed that no team can win a Test match after scoring just 170-180 runs. Ganguly went on to emphasise that Team India didn’t play and bat well. He didn’t blame a single player but said all players need to bat well in Australia.
India were handed a humiliating 3-1 loss in the IND vs AUS Test series. And with this series loss, India’s chances of making it to the WTC Finals also ended. India had a golden chance of making it to three consecutive times in the Finals, but that was not the case to be.

Sourav Ganguly bashes Team India
“We did not bat well, we have to bat well in Test cricket. If you do not bat well, you will not win Test matches. If you score 170, 180, you cannot win Test matches. You have to score 350-400, No one can be blamed. Everyone has to score runs” Ganguly said.
While questions have been raised over Virat Kohli’s form in red ball cricket. Ganguly too was surprised at the ace batter’s poor form. He claimed that he believes in Kohli and believes that Kohli will surely overcome his poor form. “I don’t understand. He is such a great player. But I am sure he will overcome this problem.”
When the former India captain was questioned about Rohit Sharma’s decision to rest for the Sydney Test, Ganguly claimed that it was the decision of the player. “It is his personal decision. He knows what to do,” he concluded.
