Yashasvi has been in blinder of a form in the IND vs ENG series, amassing a total of 712 runs so far against Ben Stokes' side in the series.

Former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan on Thursday heaped praises on young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The southpaw continued his tremendous run of form in the IND vs ENG series with another half-century on the first day of the IND vs ENG 5th Test.

Yashasvi has been unstoppable in the ongoing series. The opening batter has amassed a huge 712 runs in the series so far, surpassing Virat Kohli and standing just behind Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.

Zaheer Khan, speaking on Jio Cinema at the end of day’s play, said Yashasvi has all the qualities one needs to become a legend of the game.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was a bit cautious towards the start but as soon as the spinners came, Yashasvi went on the offensive. When you’re in good form, the mindset should be to not give away wickets playing rash shots and Yashasvi displayed just that. You could see the hunger for runs in Yashasvi’s batting. These type of series does not come easily for batters and Yashasvi made the most out of his good form. Yashasvi displayed all the qualities that turns players into the legends of the game,” Zaheer said.
