After two double tons, Yashasvi now slams his 2nd fifty plus score in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. The young southpaw held the fort after Rohit’s dismissal and registered a gritty fifty in the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test.
Brimming with confidence, Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his batting prowess. He continued to stitch a strong partnership with Shubman Gill as India aims to cut short England’s massive first innings score. With the pitch proving to be batting friendly, Yashasvi punished the bad balls and rotated the strike to keep the scoreboard ticking.

It took Yashasvi Jasiwal just 89 balls to reach his fifty. The swashbuckling batter hit 5 fours and a huge sixer to register his half century. But he had a big escape. When he was on 40, he was nearly dismissed. A third umpire referral gave Jaiswal a second life, who took the reward gleefully.
Yashasvi nicked a Ollie Robinson delivery but the ball dropped just before reaching the gloves of Ben Foakes. As Ben Stokes turned to celebrate, it was the third umpire which gave another life to the Indian youngster. Jaiswal will be aiming to convert his fifty to yet another century to set the pace of the game.
