WPL: DC skipper Meg Lanning has only this to say after final loss to RCB

WPL final: Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals, who had reached the final without any hiccups, just couldn't come with their best when it mattered the most.

What do you say to a team that goes on lose two WPL finals on the trot? Perhaps, nothing. Even Delhi Capitals’ skipper Meg Lanning was blank after losing the final yet again, in the tournament, this year against Royal Challengers Bangalore. At the post match presentation, a disappointed Lanning went on to congratulate the opposition for the title, and said that, ‘crazy things happen’.

“Obviously disappointing not to get it done. Finals are about playing well on the day. Congratulations to RCB – you outplayed us tonight. It all happened relatively quickly as it tends to do.

“As we’ve seen in this tournament, crazy things happen. Full credit to RCB, they fought back really nicely and deserved the win. We did a lot right. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. A lot of effort went from a lot of the people. Want to thank the support staff. Cricket is a funny game – you win some, you lose some,” Lanning added.

WPL Final RCB vs DC, As It Happened
