The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) women’s team received a guard of honour from the men’s team at the RCB Unbox event. Smriti Mandhana and co defeated DC in WPL 2024 finals to lift the franchise’s maiden trophy. At the RCB Unbox event at the M Chinnaswamy stadium ahead of IPL 2024, Virat Kohli and co accorded the special gesture to the women’s team.

Smriti Mandhana and co took a lap around the stadium along with the WPL trophy to acknowledge the fans. RCB put up a dominating all-round performance in WPL 2024, becoming the first side to win the trophy, Orange Cap and Purple Cap all together in one edition. Ellyse Perry is the Orange Cap winner while Shreyanka Patil is the Purple Cap holder.
