All is set for the WPL auction, which will take place in Bengaluru. However, before everything is set, a total of 71 players, including 25 overseas stars, have been retained across the five franchises. Since it’s a mini auction, this is the reason why many core players were retained. Now, not many slots are left,just 19 remain, including 14 Indian players and 5 overseas players, making things interesting. This year, each franchise has been given a budget of Rs 15 crore to build their squads, which is Rs 1.5 crore more than the previous season. A total of 19 slots, including five for overseas players, are up for grabs during the auction.
WPL AUCTION date
Women’s Premier League auction for the 2025 season will be held on December 15 at ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru. There may not be many slots to fill, but the anticipation is high all over.
