WPL 2024: Record breaker Meg Lanning slams 500 runs in history of Women’s Premier League

In WPL, Meg Lanning became the first player to score 500 runs. She achieved the feat during MI vs DC WPL match on March 5.

Delhi Capitals skipper Meg Lanning became the first player in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) to stroke 500 runs. She achieved the feat during Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians match on March 5 (Tuesday). In WPL, Meg Lanning has been very consistent. She was also the highest run-getter in the inaugural edition of the WPL.

Lanning smashed fifty in MI vs DC clash

Speaking about Lanning’s performance in the ongoing MI vs DC match, the right-handed batter stroked 53 runs in just 38 balls which included 6 fours and two maximums. Thanks to her knock, the Capitals have posted a decent total on the board. Earlier in MI vs DC match in WPL, Meg Lanning and Co. were asked to have a bat first after MI won the toss.
