As per reports, Deandra Dottin was ruled out of the WPL 2023 due to ongoing sickness. Australia’s Kim Garth has been named as a replacement and the all-rounder has already linked up with the Gujarat Giants squad in Mumbai.

“Ace West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin is recovering from a medical situation and has been replaced by Australian pace bowler Kim Garth. The Adani Gujarat Giants wish Deandra a speedy recovery, and welcome the talented Kim Garth,” the Gujarat Giants said in a statement.

However, after the announcements, Deandra Dottin created a storm suggesting that she was perfectly fine and fit. When messages started pouring in, the West Indian star wrote, ‘Get well soon from what?’

She later tweeted, “I really appreciate all the messages but truth be told I’m recovering from nothing but the Holy Ghost anointing thank you.”

The West Indian star was bought by GG in the WPL auction for Rs 60 lakh. The controversy strikes WPL and Gujarat Giants just hours before their opening clash against Mumbai Indians.
