From 6:41 pm to 6:47 pm, six minutes is all it takes for RCB’s Will Jacks to reach 100

Switch off TV for a couple of minutes and you'll miss it! RCB's Will Jacks was simply unstoppable during his whirlwind century vs GT

The crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium witnessed a freakish innings by Will Jacks, who came up with a breathtaking display of carnage on Sunday, April 28. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter smashed his maiden IPL century to see his side clinch the thrilling match against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

While Jacks hit the winning runs to clinch his ton, it was the sheer brutality of his acceleration that left everyone stunned. Jacks began with a measured approach, scoring 17 runs off his first 17 balls. He then got to his fifty in 31 balls.

But then came the next six minutes, a whirlwind that turned the tide of the match. Between 6:41 pm and 6:47 pm, Jacks unleashed pure carnage. He plundered a mind-boggling milestone, transforming his fifty into a resounding hundred.

This otherworldly display wasn’t just about brute force; it was about pinpoint precision. Jacks smashed the fastest 50-100 in IPL history, reaching his century in a mere 10 balls!

50 in 15th over, 100 in 16th ft. Will Jacks

It was on the second ball of the 15th over when the Englishman raised his bat for his half-century. From then on, Jacks went on a boundary-hitting spree. 6, 2, 6, 4, 0, 6, 6, 4, 6, 6 – these were the outcome of the next ten balls Jacks faced. Incredibly, it was on the last ball of the 16th over he notched up a historic hundred.

His knock of 100* was a brutal exhibition of power-hitting, laced with 5 imperious fours and a staggering 10 sixes. The GT bowlers were left helpless as Jacks took them to the cleaners.
