Find out about MS Dhoni's rehab after the CSK Skipper underwent surgery after the IPL 2023 season came to its conclusion.

Indian legend MS Dhoni has been undergoing rehab ever since the IPL 2023 season came to an end. The former Indian skipper, who represents the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), revealed in the post-match interview after the IPL 2023 Final that his health wasn’t 100%.

Why is MS Dhoni in rehab?

The wicketkeeper-batter has been struggling with his knee injury for the past few months. The issues started before the IPL and were likely due to Dhoni pushing himself to the limit to play for CSK. Dhoni’s rigorous training to get in shape for IPL 2023, perhaps, flared up his injury even more. The injury was first reported in 2020; however, Dhoni has continued to play for CSK despite physical hardship.

Despite his left knee being in critical condition, the Jharkhand cricketer was undeterred when it came to his keeping and batting. The right-hand batter had a whopping strike rate of 182.46 throughout the season and remained unbeaten in 8 of his 16 innings to take his side to yet another title run.
