The team management has confirmed that Santner is dealing with a slight niggle, which has prompted them to rest him as a precautionary measure.

In Santner’s absence, MI has made two key changes to their playing XI. Karn Sharma, the experienced leg-spinner, makes his return to the squad, adding depth to the spin department. “I got two changes. Karn comes back. Mitch (Santner) misses out. He got a little niggle on his injury. In place of him, Bosch makes his debut,” said Pandya at the toss.
