Which team has bought Mohammed Shami in IPL 2025 auction?

Veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is back on the field. Now we'll see him in IPL 2025 for sure, but which team will he play for?

Mohammad Shami is back after spending months on the sidelines due to injury. He will look to make a mark once again and replicate the brilliant performances he delivered in the past. Shami, who played for the Gujarat Titans in 2023, was the Purple Cap holder as well. He consistently came out on top when he was with the Gujarat team, but around the ICC 50-over World Cup 2023, his ankle injury became his main villain and kept him out of the field, and as a result, he was out of the IPL 2024.

If we talk about his IPL record alone, Shami has taken 77 wickets in 79 IPL matches at an economy rate of 8.43 runs per over, the stats are unbelievable. However, this time things have changed. Shami is no longer associated with Gujarat Titans and will now play for IPL 2024 runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad. With a solid squad this time, having Shami on their side, SRH will be aiming to win the title this time.

Mohammed Shami IPL 2025 Salary

Many teams fought for this star player, from KKR to Chennai Super Kings to LSG. But in the end, it was SRH whose bid of 10 crores shut everyone down, and they emerged as the winners, securing Shami’s services for the upcoming season.
