Kohli’s epic response to Rahul after RCB’s win

It all began with Rahul’s celebration marking Chinnaswamy as his territory following his unbeaten 93-run knock to guide DC to a win in Bengaluru earlier in April. Cut to Sunday, Kohli playfully replicated the same after RCB beat the hosts by 6 wickets. The batting maestro did so post the game and quickly went on to hug Rahul, confirming that he was indeed just joking.

Kohli’s half-century on Sunday marked his fifth in away matches in IPL 2025. He is now the tournament’s leading run-getter with 434 runs to his name. Virat stayed on nearly till the end of the run-chase before he was sent packing in the final delivery of the 18th over, four deliveries before RCB completed the chase.

Kohli played a trademark innings against DC, scoring 51 runs of 47 deliveries.

I try and ensure I don’t stop my singles and doubles and combine with the occasional boundary. This year you can’t just come out and hit, you have to assess, understand the conditions and then plan accordingly,” Kohli explained his slow-paced knock.
