As India gear up for their Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash against Pakistan, an adorable moment was caught on camera during India’s training session. India’s star batter Virat Kohli was seen playing with an adorable puppy during the training session at R. Premadasa Stadium.

In the video circulating on social media, Kohli could be seen interacting with the puppy. The 34-year-old, who was having a football session with few other Indian players, called the puppy and gave him few belly rubs.

The former Indian skipper then kicked the ball away in order to get the puppy chase the ball.

Virat Kohli and Co. prepare to counter Shaheen Afridi’s threat

Team India are leaving no stones unturned in their preparation for the high-octane IND vs PAK match.

From left-arm throwdowns to video analysis, Indian batters were seen preparing against Shaheen’s challenge.

Notably, India’s top order failed to turn up against Shaheen Afridi-led pace attack. The Men in Blue were rescued by Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan who took India to 266 in the rain-curtailed encounter at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli have so far failed to come out on top against Afridi. The Pakistan’s pace sensation has enjoyed bowling against the arch-rivals, picking 7 wickets in 4 matches at an average of 19.25.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also praised the current Pakistan bowling lineup and called it the “most lethal new-ball attack in the game”.

“At one point of time it was Australia and Pakistan probably shared that number 1 and number 2 spot because Pakistan have always had top-class new-ball bowlers. But at this point of time, they have the most lethal new-ball attack in the game,” said Gavaskar.

Team India Squad for Asia Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.
